Destiny 2: Warmind teaser hints at horde mode, full reveal coming tomorrow

Update, April 23: Bungie will unveil the Destiny 2: Warmind expansion tomorrow, and they’ve put together a teaser to whet your appetites.

Destiny 2’s next expansion is Warmind, and it’s set to launch on May 8. That’s very soon, but we don’t have much detail on what the new content will be. Bungie have announced a full reveal stream for tomorrow, but ahead of that there’s a brief teaser giving an idea of what to expect.

One of the headline additions is the Hive Escalation Protocol. Judging by UI objective prompts asking players to clear Hive enemies in limited periods of time, it looks like this is some kind of horde mode, which would make for a very nice addition to the game. The focus on icy Hive enemies in general suggests they’ll play a prominent role in the expansion.
