Florida Mayhem will honour the Stoneman Douglas community in their Overwatch League matches this weekend in the wake of the school shooting on February 14, in which 17 people were killed and 14 more injured.
In a statement on Twitter, the team say that they “will come to the stage this week wearing patches” honouring the Stoneman Douglas community, and that “everyone in our organization has been touched by the impact of the act and the strength of those affected.” The statement goes on to say that “as proud representatives of Florida, [Mayhem] wish to demonstrate our support and promote continued positive outreach” within the Overwatch community at large.
